  1. I know exactly which tree O’Keeffe was talking about — the Lawrence Tree. It’s one of her most striking paintings. And this sculpture? There’s another one at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. My photos didn’t capture all three figures together, so I found this one on the museum website.
