Ah, the Merlin engine… what a sound it makes. Awesome airplane 🙂
Yeah, they had two P-51s at the show – a newer one with a bubble canopy (I think it was a P-51D) and an older one with a conventional canopy (I think a P51-B) painted in the Red Tail colors of the Tuskegee Airmen. It was great seeing (and hearing) them fly – especially when they had the P-51D fly in formation with a P-39 Aircobra.
