In downtown Dallas, across Main Street from the Joule Hotel – the hotel with the cool pool, a giant eye has appeared – like a monster from a horror movie – mysterious – it just sits there, thirty feet high… staring. The thing is a sculpture by Tony Tasset. It really is big… and pretty odd to look at – especially at night.

Nope, no photoshop. It’s really there.
The eye has quite a presence, even in the photos, I guess in the flesh (pardon the pun) its even more of an experience.
Yes it’s pretty odd in real life – especially because of its location. It’s in a random vacant lot in the middle of downtown. You don’t expect to see anything like that there.
I think it would really scary some people who didn’t know it was there!
Yeah… I know it’s there and it still scares me when I go by.
