I’m not a nature photographer – I don’t have the knowledge, patience, or equipment to do well at that. Still, here’s a little bird in the middle of a drying wetland pond on a hot Texas day, looking for a bit of lunch. He looks a little lonely, don’t you think?
Beautiful shot, Bill, I like it very much. Mono is perfect for it, and having the grasses in the foreground, the dark reflections at the top, and the bird’s perfect reflection in between, makes for a really good composition. Good photography! Adrian
Looks like an egret. Not exactly a “little” bird. The wide angle of the shot emphasizes its isolation. Well done.
Black and white really conveys the mood here.
