  1. Missed it this year. I really love the low end brass, and especially a choir of the things. Had I been more on the ball, I probably could have borrowed my son’s euphonium and joined in, before he collects it to move off many states to the east.

    My experience is that horns go flat in the cold. It was a minor problem with my trombone, which would eventually warm from blowing; but when I played Sousaphone, I never could blow enough air through it to warm it, especially when the outside air was below about 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

    These guys manage to stay mostly in tune. It’s a miracle.
